Antarctic 1929 Wilkins South Georgia - USA, Deception Island - Antarctic flight cover

Falklands ½d, 2d KGV  cover sent from South Georgia Falkland Island Dependencies 26th March 1929, to USA. Flown on Sir Hubert Wilkins first Antarctic flight, then carried from South Georgia, probably on the SS Tijuca, to Montevideo. Faint back stamps from Buenos Aires and Montevideo on 23 April 1929. Addressed and initialled in lower left corner in Hubert Wilkins' handwriting.
