Shields Stamps & Coins complies fully with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Change of Mind
We do not accept refunds or exchanges for change of mind for online purchases.
This includes:
- Deciding you no longer want the item
- Purchasing an item by mistake
- Finding the same item cheaper elsewhere
- Changing your collecting focus
Please read item descriptions carefully and contact us before purchasing if you require additional information.
Second-Hand & Collectable Items
All items sold by Shields Stamps & Coins are second-hand collectible items, unless otherwise stated.
As such, items may show reasonable wear and tear consistent with age, circulation, storage, or historical use. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Toning, patina, light marks, or surface wear on coins
- Hinges, gum disturbance, creases, or fading on stamps
- Minor handling marks on banknotes
Reasonable wear and tear is not considered a fault under Australian Consumer Law.
Product Images & Listings
Unless otherwise specified, photos used in listings are representative images only.
Due to the nature of our business and the regular acquisition of new stock, the item you receive may not be the exact item pictured, but will be of the same type, grade, and general condition as described.
Any significant variations or individual items will be clearly noted in the product description.
Product Descriptions & Grading
All descriptions and images are provided in good faith and aim to accurately represent the product.
Please note that grading of stamps, coins, and banknotes can be subjective. Differences of professional opinion or expectations do not constitute a fault.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
You are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if an item:
- Has a major fault
- Is significantly not as described
- Is damaged or defective beyond reasonable wear
- Is not fit for its intended purpose
Where the failure is minor, we may choose to repair or replace the item.
Sale & Clearance Items
Sale or clearance items are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately at shieldsstamps@gmail.com if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right, please include the following information
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos where applicable
We will assess all requests fairly and in line with Australian Consumer Law.
