NWPI New Guinea on Australia 2½d cover to Holland containing enemy letter
Enemy Letter sent ordinary mail to Holland to a forwarding agency in Rotterdam, for onward transmission to Germany in WW1. It has been censored in Madang, and back stamped Rotterdam and the Dutch postmans personal numbered hand stamp. Enemy mail was normally forwarded by the Red Cross in Switzerland so this cover is very unusual going through Holland.
