Tierra del Fuego Argentina Antarctic 10c superb part imprint block of 4 SG1 MUH

These local stamps were perforated 10½ and lithographed by Kidd & Co in Buenos Aires. They were valid on mail from Tierra del Fuego to the nearest port in Argentina or Chile. Julius Popper was the notorious man in charge of this region, who authorised the issue for his gold miners to correspond home. They are rare used and no other stamps were issued by this country.
