Postcard handstamped 'Military Mail, ABE Company, NUMA-8921 Unit, 38th Division, Headquarters, Rabaul, New Britain. Censored. Sent to Japan. Japanese troop took Rabaul, New Britain, on the 23rd January 1942 and surrendered the island on the 6th September 1945 when General Imamura signed on behalf of the Japanese forces in the South East Pacific area.
